Abstract: As the rapid development of China's economy and society in recent years, the aesthetic standard of Chinese people has also undergone a series of changes. Many wild forms of man-made landscapes began to be accepted.The dissertation aims to analyze the concept, function of wild environment in China. At the same time, it carries out the study of its origin,history and developments in western countries. Based on the research,the dissertation focuses on the preservation,recovery,construction strategies of wild environment in cities of China. This research shows the rapid development of ecology and the integration of art and science are closely related to the growth of wild environment in China. The wild environment not only has the beauty of landscape, but also has the wild state and capacity of derivation and evolution within the wild environment. The wild environment has experienced a long history of accumulation and development in western countries. It has been influenced by the English Landscape Garden and other western trend of thought in the humanities. The author also researches on how the wild environment can play a good role in the cities of China.
